Same Day Appointments

Please note that for our patients we keep same day appointments available for urgent issues (such as urinary tract infections, sore throat, or changes to chronic symptoms). Due to long wait times in the Emergency and Urgent Care centres we encourage you to call our clinic first. You are welcome to book with any of our providers who have availability if your usual physician is fully booked.

Nanaimo Regional General Hospital Emergency: If you feel that your issue is an emergency, please do not hesitate to call 911 or to attend the Emergency department
 

• Examples of when to attend the ED include:

• Signs of heart attack or stroke

• Extreme pain

• Severe bleeding

• Broken bones

• Shortness of breath or respiratory distress

Oceanside Urgent Care: Located in Parksville this centre is a form of an emergency department. Please note it is not a walk-in clinic. It has x-ray, ultrasound, and point of care labs available.

Medical Arts Urgent & Primary Care Centre: Nanaimo’s walk-in clinic which is located in Port Place Mall.

Central Nanaimo Urgent & Primary Care Center: Nanaimo’s newest same day clinic, available with appointments for urgent concerns. It is located on Norwell Dr behind Country Club Center

Health-Link 8-1-1 Line: This line is free of charge and operated through HealthLink BC. If you have health concerns or queries you can call this line to speak to a nurse, dietitian, exercise professional, or pharmacist.
